Confirmed from Madam Brett Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Very nice hiking place ! I definitely recommend ending your hiking tour in this place, next to the waterfall. Old buildings might give you some rejection vibe, but I guarantee the views and hiking path would make it up to you, plus it gives some charm to the atmosphere

This place never ceases to amaze me. Waterfall at one end, then a stroll by the abandoned Tioronda Hat Works Factory. It's a great walk with various types of land surrounding it. This place has a great local story along the Fishkill Creek. Beacon history. Must see.

Used the trail for an easy hike with some friends. It was perfect for all the people in our group. We liked the easy access to the beach along the Hudson. The changing leaves were a nice backdrop - even on an overcast (and slightly rainy day).

Amazing views and instant tranquility. I wandered in for a quick walk and stayed way longer. Little side trails dip into the woods, over a tiny footbridge, down scrappy steps to a creek, then a gorgeous boardwalk appears beside an abandoned brick hat factory.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 30 mentions

“East of parking lot brings you to waterfalls 3 minute walk and west of lot brings you around marsh trail on gravel paths.”

Plan your run at Madam Brett Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
