Confirmed from Martin Canyon Creek Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Trekking trail through a shaded woodland setting with steep climbs and views.
What runners say about Martin Canyon Creek Trailhead
“Starting from walking through woods, once you reach the top, there will be a beautiful meadow.”
“In a town that can be hot and sunny in the summer, this trail (which leads all the way up to Dublin Ridge) has ample cool shady spots.”
“Highly recommend this place for a peaceful walk after a long day.”
I absolutely loved this trail. This will be be my after work relaxing time before heading home. Found this place on Bay Areas hikers group on fb. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful walk after a long day. Also a great way to spend time outdoors with young kids or elderly parents. Enjoy.
Great trail. Dog on leashed. Saw a coyote once. The beginning part is the city trail, not very steep. The county trail is quite steep.
Great trail with highs and low areas. Plenty of creeks and wildlife. You can bike, walk or jog.
Great shaded and green trail for hot summer days. Not much elevation gain. About a mile till you come to a gate with signs for coyotes and mountain lions - standard for East Bay Parks. You can hear the howling of coyotes at that point.
