Confirmed from Maurice K Goddard State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Diverse park with a lake, wetlands & forest offers all-year recreation & miles of multi-use trails.
What runners say about Maurice K Goddard State Park
“Beautiful paved bike trail around Lake Wilhem, hiking trails, places to fish, benches, accessible bathrooms, marina and boat launch, all around lovely PA State Park!”
“Quiet, picturesque, on the water with benches to sit on, slow down and reflect on life for a bit!”
“An easy trail with small hills and valleys.”
Walked on the Falling Run Nature Trail and had a great time! It was well taken care of and the path is well marked. The views are beautiful, even during the transition from winter to spring. There is limited parking right by the start of the trail.
This is such a beautiful park and lake area. The walking and biking trails are so nice, and you get great views of the lake. The lake is immense, and it looks like you can take your boat there also. Certain areas of the trail were also very shady, so even on a hot day you will stay on the cooler side.
M K Goddard Park contains a large lake especially great for all season fishing. A paved trail circles the lake so enjoy hiking or biking with low stress. There is also an area for bird watching. For events at this park visit: events dcnr pa For more information: pa parks and forests (diamond)
Did the falls trail, and it was a pretty little loop! End of new vernon rd by the kayak launch, the trail head is marked by a wooden sign. easy hike for any level of hiker. limited parking . probably should park at the main boat launch in summer months
