Confirmed from MB Johnson Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about MB Johnson Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (105 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Clean restrooms, very well maintained, paved walking paths, mountain bike trails, plenty of open space - what’s not to like?”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful, but far enough away to make me want to make a day of it rather than just the quick jaunts to clear my mind I'm always going to MB Johnson for.”

My kids had so much fun walking on the trails. There is even a playground and bathrooms. Actual hills and trees. Not something I see a lot since moving to ND. Can't wait to go back. I'll definitely pack a picnic lunch since there are so many trails to pick from.

For a park so convenient and close I really live this one. You feel like you are in a forest far away from everything. There are so many paths, you still feel rather safe. It is beautiful here and close to home with a little playground for kids, open fields, forested areas and a cement walking path for muddy days.

With only a short time at this park, you quickly recognize lots of amenities for park fun. Boat slip, walking and bike paths, picnic shelter, restrooms, playground, fish cleaning area, etc.

This is my favorite park. I've visited every park in the FM area and this one wins hands-down. It's secluded, easy to get to, has options for paved or mountain-bike trails, and when I went today it's clear that the trail-builders are doing great things out there! Good job, keep it up!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
