Confirmed from McConnell Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Clean, family-friendly park features a playground, picnic tables and hiking trails.
What runners say about McConnell Park
If you like huge woodsy parks, this place is pretty awesome. It has tons of nooks and crannies that all have things to do in them. There are many playgrounds and large covered picnic type places for parties, as well as large fields.
Cute park for kids and a nice place to kill 2 birds with one stone; there's a large open grass area where I can run my dog while my son plays with neighborhood kids. It also has park benches and a couple of picnic areas, as well as climb-able trees for kids. It's a smaller park, but still worth an afternoon.
Nice and enjoyable playground abd park. Great for kids. Has a small feild good for dogs to run around. Big trees.
Tiny park with a playground. Kids love it when we go for a walk to it. Definitely would love to see it remodeled.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
