Confirmed from McGruff Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Informal park featuring a playground plus a skate park and a basketball court.
What runners say about McGruff Park
“Clean fun for out dog and a great view”
I went to McGruff park in Butte for the MT Folk festival this year. The park is usually the place where I would pitch a tent and camp along with a lot of other people.
As a local my Park to go and hang quiet lots of grass lots of room to run you or a dog couple shade trees like watching the mine activity and some of the cleanest Park restrooms you'll ever see kudos to the Parks and Recreation crew👍

The practical stuff

- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
