Confirmed from Meinig Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Woodsy playground featuring wooden play equipment, slides, swings and a creek.
What runners say about Meinig Memorial Park
“Beautiful rustic park and playground Great for a quiet walk or family picnic One of the best town parks I have ever seen in my 67 years”
Excellent public park in adorable Sandy, Oregon. Dry picnic table areas. Winding paths with signs. Wooden playground full of rocking boats, zipline and corkscrew slides. Kid's dreamland! Small bubbly stream meanders through the whole park - a great spot to get toes and fingers wet. the Make it a stop on route to Mt.
Really nice park, large wooden play structure with slides, monkey bars, turrets and swings including a tire swing. Also has a creek running though it, several gazebos, a nice grassy area for picnics. Lots of tall pines for a shady spot on a sunny day. Also has tables, garbage, and bathrooms.
Great big park , we came here with RC cars and it was a blast , there's a small creek running along the main park and walk way , public restroom , and a rather small parking lot , but still nice trees around very windy day , but the trees stopped most of the winds and made the day enjoyable
Stopped for the kids at a local park and it had some nice hiking and kids equipment. We got lucky. We really enjoyed it and watching all the huge dragon flies.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
