Confirmed from Michael Emery Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular with hikers & mountain bikers, this trail offers rugged scenery, shrubs & diverse wildlife.

Family-friendly hike. We saw plenty of runners and bikers on a July Saturday morning. Not a ton of shade. Parking lot was less than half full. Enjoyable views of the Sandias.
This was a really fun hike! I had a great time. Lots of great views of desert flora and fauna. Also, a great view of the Sandia Mountains. I suggest going around sunset to enjoy the mountains illuminated. The trail connects to some other trails that go farther up the mountains.
