Plenty of clearly marked trails. Really good experience! Would have been a 5 star if it weren’t for the construction site at south reservoir. That sort of ruined the experience.
Middlesex Fells is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places to experience Foliage. If you are coming from Boston, just take a T to Oak Grove ( probably orange) and it's just a 15 min walk to the starting point. Be mindful about getting lots of water bottles, snacks and good shoes.
A great spot for a light to medium hike, suitable for people who don't usually hike. It has more "walking" areas, almost flat, going by the water, as well as little hills, and even tiny "cliffs" to climb on. Major bonus: very close to the city.
Fantastic spot to take the dog. Park at Sheepfold dog park and take your dog to the massive field with other doggos prancing and playing, and/or take a nice hike along the beautiful reservoir with the canine. Beautiful views.
