Confirmed from Midvale City Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly city park with playgrounds, a splash pad, tennis and basketball courts.
What runners say about Midvale City Park
“The park appeared to be well maintained too.”
Nice quiet park with two playgrounds. Tennis courts and ultimate frisbee course. Four large pavilion and two small pavilions and one large even area plus concert stage. Harvest days is always a fun time to come to this park. Great for biking and walking. Lots of open picnic benches. Great for dogs and kids!!
It's not a pretty park, but it is a practical one. Two playgrounds, one really large grass field, an incredibly plain disc golf course (though most parks don't have one at all), lots of pickleball courts and some tennis courts.
This place is one of my favorites to walk my dog. It’s got nice well developed trees which makes it cooler in the summer. There is a splash pad for kids and a nice swing set. I have been here many times when they have festivals and the amphitheater is super nice! And it’s kinda not known of so it’s not super busy!
This is a very nice park for the kids they have a playground a splash pad an Amphitheatre. However I did go for a walk one evening and actually did not feel completely safe by myself. I would have been okay if I have been with somebody else but there can be some shady looking characters there occasionally.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
