Confirmed from Mill Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-style park featuring a creek and softball fields, as well as concession stands.
What runners say about Mill Creek Park
“The fields and dugouts are always clean and neat and they also have very good umpires.”
“And there are plenty of pavillions and shady areas to get out of the heat.”
Love this park! Very pretty and nice shade trees around the fields! There is a little creek that runs down in front of it too! Hope we go back for a tournament there soon!
Its a good lil ballpark. Mostly clean except for the men's restroom. The bleachers have no shade at all. Not good in the deep south with temps still in the 90s during Sept. But hopefully they can improve that soon. Its a long walk from the parking lot to the fields. Not recommended for senior citizens.
Had daughters' softball tournament. Thought the tournament was run well as well the park was clean and well maintained.
Great place to walk, if you like peace and quietness. I've seen deer, hawks, blue and red birds all the time.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
