Confirmed from Milwaukee River Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Restored riverfront area featuring multiuse trails, kayaking, fishing piers & lots of green space.
What runners say about Milwaukee River Greenway
“The Milwaukee River Greenway is home to some of the most beautiful birds & plants Milwaukee has to offer!”
“Update June 2020 this photo is of the Bier garten by Hubbard Park Lodge, it's nice and shady in the afternoon, and is open serving beer brats and Friday fish fry.”
“awesome adventure in residents of the community backyard paradise an oasis of calm and peace.”
Nice paths to walk that aren't too intimidating. My daughter and I enjoyed our winter trek by the river/creek that runs through the park. Very peaceful
Gorgeous park. If you've never been, please go you'll enjoy it! This park is clean and well kept. Althought some of the holes are a little short the disc golf course provided a nice challenge! Well shaded with large trees. Many walking paths even a river walk under the beer garden.
This is a peaceful and often overlooked park. I think most people pass by without realizing it is a park? And the park has a lot to offer if you want to relax, suntan, have a picnic, go fishing, cool off by the river or watch birds. Its also right next to the oak leaf trail too!
Easily one of the busiest trails we visited recently The Milwaukee River Greenway in Estabrook Park has a great location central to Whitefish Bay, Shorewood, Glendale and Milwaukees Northeast side.

- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
