Confirmed from Kern Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This riverside park features basketball & tennis courts, a softball diamond & picnic areas.
What runners say about Kern Park
“Unified Churches Of The PAAF had our Annual Unified Picnic it was beautiful with so much more fellowship and love and unity!”
“Lots of giant trees with shade, picnic tables, large swaths of grass, a hill to roll down, and if you follow the paths there is a trail down to the river.”
Extensive scenic walking for dogs plus ball fields & courts to play on, with easy parking! However, my favorite access path to the river has been blocked for restoration (on the path?!) for about a year with no indication of when it will end.
A wonderful park. Lots of giant trees with shade, picnic tables, large swaths of grass, a hill to roll down, and if you follow the paths there is a trail down to the river. There is also a baseball/kickball diamond :)
Great place for a walk or a picnic. My son loves a playground down here. Minus one star bc some days it could be overcrowded.
A nice little tucked away space to hang out in. Right off the bike path. It's small, but it's a nice patch of grass to lay out in. There is a baseball field and a concession stand open when there's a game.
Trail conditions & character
