Confirmed from Milwaukie Bay Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring scenic Elk Rock Island views, along with fields, picnic tables, a boat ramp, a dock and a playground.
What runners say about Milwaukie Bay Park
“The view was beautiful and even though we expected more boats, the 10 or so that were there came by the bank a couple of times, yelled Merry Christmas and waved.”
First time wandering out this direction. Moved out to Oregon this last April, so still learning the areas. Took a max out and hiked the little trail along the Willamette river. Nice little area for swimming and sunning it appears.
A beautiful spot for walking, kayaking, enjoying the view with a boat launch. The parking lot is tiny so it’s not so great in the summer unless you’re launching a boat.
Another beautiful waterfront park on the Willamette. This one seems pretty busy with water activities as people come here to kayak, to do standup paddling, to enjoy a boat tour on the river. The park is along the Trolley Trail and has a public restroom so that's pretty nice for runners and cyclists passing through.
I now have new favorite hiking and play spots! Great for dogs as well! An easy trek for all ages, and a BEAUTIFUL scenic view of the river.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
