Confirmed from Mingus Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Mingus Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,780 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“It could use a little more upkeep, and have the water ways and streams cleaned out; maybe a "community clean-up day" would be a great way to liven up the park a little.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 12 mentions

“Absolutely gorgeous there's a big hill going into the park its pretty hard on the older folk but worth it”

While on my way to a Korean restaurant, I discovered this wonderfully maintained park, perfect for a dog walk. The light rain made for an ideal and very pleasant stroll, with plenty of interesting sights. It was a thoroughly relaxing walk, and I definitely recommend it!

There’s a paved trail around the pond with lots of ducks, cute tranquil Asian inspired bamboo garden with the pretty red bridge. Surrounding the park is forest areas with many dirt trails, looks like some dirt bike trails too. I took a jog through the mix of the forest dirt trails and around the pond.

I've enjoyed the paved paths in this park for years now. Today we decided to jump the track and found so many more trails up the hillside and under some magnificent trees. It was so beautiful and it renewed a part of me. I think it was the first time my rescue dog ever saw such a beautiful and tranquil place.

We loved this park. It's a great place for a walk. Very beautiful. It could use a little more upkeep, and have the water ways and streams cleaned out; maybe a "community clean-up day" would be a great way to liven up the park a little. Either way we love it here.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
