Confirmed from Mishawaka Riverwalk's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Clean, scenic park, playground and walking trail along the Riverwalk.

“There is something for all ages here, my favorite spot so far in Mishawaka.”
There is a lot geese poo, bugs, breezy air, wonderful views, beautiful structures, and so much more. If you like a nice walk, run, playground, or splash pad then this is a place worth wasting your time doing this stuff at. There is a donut shop nearby as a reward to counteract the energy expenditure.
This is within walking distance of my house. It s such a beautiful walk through several parks, the ironworks business's restaurants, breweries, ice rink. Battell parks stonework and pond and cascading water in the summer is so peaceful and relaxing
Very nice area to walk along the river! Summer concerts a few nights each week at different locations along the river, too! The walk itself is on a path with a lot of greenery. The bridge just goes across the river.
The walk loops around the river and over a couple bridges. Beautiful. Peaceful. Paved for bikes, walking, jogging. Multiple places to park.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
