Confirmed from Morgan Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Morgan Memorial Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,208 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Clean and relaxed environment with plenty of parking.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 15 mentions

“It has a beach, playground, hills, picnik tables, beautiful trees and so much nature and life here.”

Great place to sit, walk or, see the most beautiful view of CT. Special spot referred, by long time residents as, lover's lane, it has a gazebo. Great place to get engaged. It's at the end of the beach area, benches situated through out the path.

At the end of December, I was asked to photograph a surprise proposal at Morgan Memorial Park. A significant snowstorm was forecast for that day, and there was uncertainty as to whether the weather would allow us to proceed with the plan as envisioned. I arrived at the agreed location around 2:45 pm.

If you want peace that’s the place you should be. Where you can enjoy yourself or with family and friends. It has restrooms, Park, hiking, beach, kids playground, fishing. Romance, photography. All in once.

One of my favorite beaches on the North Shore which also seems great for sledding in the snow. Off-season you can park in the general lot or by the yacht club since no one really uses it. Great place to walk around by the water and collect stones or sea glass.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
