Confirmed from Morrison Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Morrison Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (243 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 19 mentions

“Very clean park, restrooms could use a bit more cleaning but for a public park, they were fine.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“Beautiful scenery, plenty of spaces for the kids to play.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Love how clean and family friendly this park is.”

Small and quaint. If your just looking for steps its almost a perfect mile following the trail and woodbine cuts! Nice pond and perfect for letting your child cook off a sugar high. Very well kept and clean. (No pop bottles in every stream!!!) Great place to blow off steam in nature.

I haven’t been to this park in years and had some extra time, so I went to check it out. It’s well maintained and clean! There are multiple playgrounds for families with children and lots of space to run around as well. The volleyball and basketball areas seemed to be well maintained as well.

★★★★★ — Arianna , Aug 2024

My only complaint is that the paved path isn't a full loop for walking/running, and I have to cut around through the big field for half the distance to make a loop.

Morrison Park was beautiful! We got there a little later in the day, so it started to cool off quickly, but there is so much room for kids to run! When my daughter got bored at one playground, we went to the next! Awesome place to take kids!! 😊

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 10 mentions

“They offer a volleyball court, tennis, & playground for children, bathroom facilities, & the wooded sceneries are to die for!”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
