This area is part of the Anacortes Community Forest Lands. You can drive to the summit or hike up. The top has two parking lots and 1 porta john. Between the two, it can accommodate 15 cars without too much hassle. The hikes aren't too difficult, but it's a lot of vertical.
About as close as you get to a mountain on the islands in the Puget Sound, this little peak has amazing views and a surprising number of trails. Definitely a beautiful spot to look over the sound, the Skagit flats, and the water.
A workout going up a bit worth the payout. Walked the paved road coming down for a quick exit but definitely want to do it again. Did both Sugarloaf (easy climb) and Mt. Erie.
