Confirmed from Mount Misery Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring wooded hiking trails, some with rocky surfaces or steep inclines and ruins.

Highly recommend doing this 2.5 mile shady loop trail at Valley Forge. There's a short rocky climb to a spot where you ring a bell and enter your visit in the guest book. On the trip down, explore the ruins of a 19th century spring water bottling plant once owned by Hires.
This trail was initially hard to find after Google took us to the trail head which does not have parking but once we found the parking lot near it we were able to easily walk to it. The trail starts out with a steep incline of wooden steps to go up.
One of the most Awesome hikes in the area if you want to get great workout. Combine it with mt joy or valley creek trails for added mileage. Remember this is only the trailhead. If you are driving you need to park at the yellow springs parking lot close by.
