Confirmed from Mount Wanda Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great Hike...able to go all the way up without stopping...steady incline. Slow and easy wins the race😃. Great views, so green!

Great workout. The trail was steep and really enjoyable to hike. Thanks to a very wonderful gentleman who showed us the way. We were a little lost and took a few wrong turns. We would definitely make this our go to hiking place

Walked this train with my 2 toddlers. There's many benches with shade to rest at. We passed tons of dogs and hikers on a beautiful Sunday hike. Info boards with animals to look for. Many side trains. I'll include a map of how far we walked in a 1 hour round trip. Will be back.

Terrific hike for a mid-day or even an early morning walk. This isn't for the lazy. Parts of it are pretty steep. But you see great views and you're in nature! Great place to seek out wildlife too.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 16 mentions

“Nice walk up to the view over looking Benicia bridge, Mt Diablo, down the south valley and towards the Oakland hills.”
