Confirmed from Mountain Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Compact park featuring trails, picnic tables and a playground plus mountain views.
What runners say about Mountain Lake Park
“I like that there are very clean rest rooms so I don't have to leave to "go".”
A great connector to the 34 mile paved bike trail, restrooms, unfencrd dog area, parking and big lizard statues
Not too much to do at this park, especially when it's too hot outside. Nice trails for whenever this weather cools down though! Also felt like we were being watched the entire time by these two white trucks in parking lot. They didn't even pull out of the lot until after we did. Super strange.
Mountain Lake Park is a nice, small park that is a gateway to many trails. Bike and walking/ running trails that lead to Lake Mead and the Boulder City loop, Lake Las Vegas and the Wetlands park and Sunrise Mountain trail. Henderson has done a fantastic job with their parks and trail system!
Amazing!!!. If you want to be outside of the city and walk the trails or enjoy a bike ride, this is the place to go. Grassy landscapes to relax and get a yoga move or two in. Mountian views are beautiful. Very quite and laid back. Well kept and a great spot for the kids to hop around on.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
