Confirmed from Mountain View Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Mountain View Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (157 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“A beautiful place to walk along the water, and plenty of picnic tables/sitting areas!”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Quiet park during the week, tucked in a nice neighborhood in Clemson.”

A beautiful place to walk along the water, and plenty of picnic tables/sitting areas! There were lots of small cove-like areas for catch and release fishing, but I would only do that on days that aren’t busy with boats/kayaks/people splashing along the shoreline for safety. Such a gorgeous hidden gem though!

The disc golf course is a great short course if you want something fast and shaded. It can get a bit cold. Walking trail is a great loop. Boat ramp can be a bit cramped and is better if you have a second person to stay in the boat.

A beautiful park and lake side trail in the backwaters of Clemson! Mesmerizing view of the lake and small walkable trails in the forest! Watching sunset here is the most pleasing experience!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
