Confirmed from Murdock Canal Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Paved and well-maintained trail for walking, running and cycling.
What runners say about Murdock Canal Trail
“It has a variety of trail difficulties on relatively new, well-maintained, IMBA- designed trails.”
“It is such a great place to go for a walk, run, or ride and is great for families.”
17 miles long perfect for bike rides long runs. Just be watchful there are raddle snakes in specific spots l Usually they come out at night when less people are around smart two keep on earbuds out so you can hear the raddles.
This trail just goes ON and ON. Maybe someday I'll be able to run the whole thing. It's so nicely paved and taken care of. There are little stations along the way to fix your bike, drinking fountains, and signs in place to make sure you can cross busy roads safely. THIS IS THE PLACE to exercise in Utah County.
Great place to run or ride your bike. I'm a bicyclist so I like this trail. It's not heavily used except for weekends. Easy access and you can get the different parts of the area very quickly with the different forks.
This is a very long trail. It is also a great one for both runners and bikes, partly because it has so many sections and partly because it is paved and also nice and wide. The flat parts are great for family riding or taking it easy.
