Confirmed from Muscatatuck Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Spacious forested park offers riverfront hiking trails, a campground, visitor center & picnic space.
What runners say about Muscatatuck Park
“A lovely in town park and campground is well maintained, clean with options of full hook-ups, electric/water only and primitive sites.”
“Very short approach and beautiful scenery being in the forest by the river.”
“The trails are well marked and the views are amazing.”
Enjoy every time I come here. Come with family and friends and take in all of mother nature's beauty! So much history and beautiful scenic views here at muscatatuck. There are a number of trails to choose from. You can fish and hunt in designated areas. Lake side trail is wonderful.
It was beautiful with breathtaking scenery. Waterfall was as wonderful as advertised. Trail was clearly marked and clean. Love walking along the river. The vinegar mill is a good place to get a wonderful scenic view of the river. We just loved it all. Can't wait to see it in the summer.
We stopped here to visit family. We stayed for the beauty. This is a very small campground in a county park. There are a few FHU spots up front. However, we chose the electric/water only sites in the woods. The sites are gravel, and not all of them are level. We picked site #19, which is almost perfectly level.
Found this place while traveling on Route 50 in Indiana - we arrived after hours but did a self check in which was pretty easy- nice bathhouse and grassy tents sites. There were hiking trails too! Super serendipitous find!
