Confirmed from Mustang Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Mustang Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (135 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 9 mentions

“It was well maintained and clean The only suggestion is the city should really put a bathroom or Porta potty Kids cannot be there for hours without this!”

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“Everything is around a pavilion so there is a place to party or watch kids while in the shade.”

This is a gym. There's a lot of shade from trees and the pavilion. There's enough grassy area for multiple families, multiple teens, multiple activities to be going on at one time. There is plenty of parking because it is next to a school.

I love the inclusive playground equipment. The merry-go-round has larger seats and you don't have to hang on to get a ride. They have a swing that allows larger children to be buckled in. The small walking track is helpful and the musical equipment adds a bit of whimsy.

Mustang Park is really nice and clean, and it’s super close to the school, so it’s easy to get here. The playground is great for kids, and there’s enough space for families and everyone to chill. Good spot for a quick walk, bringing kids, spending time with family, or just relaxing. Highly recommend if you’re nearby!

Has a kids playground, basketball court, and a trail that follows arouns the park. Also there's a place to barbecue and sit down too. Not bad it's always clean when I show up. Playground has woodchips not sand.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
