Confirmed from Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Family friendly and absolutely insanely gorgeous!”

My family and I love this park. In fact we just celebrated my birthday there. It's shady and peaceful. There are trails and lots of trees for climbing. There is also primitive camping although we haven't done that yet. The reason for four stars are for two reasons.

So pretty! The birds are very voisterous. At first felt the trails were very well marked, then came to a void...no worries found my way out. When I did I was met with a pleasant surprise! Dogs! Trail is for walking, biking and horsetail. There is a toilet ( always a must!

This city-owned park is free and open to the public. The trail system follows the Myakkahatchee Creek. We saw an alligator, egret, owl, lizards, and more. For the most part, the area is undisturbed. Parking is convenient and bathrooms are available.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
