Starting at Driftwood Beach and wrapping around the north end of the island, the North Loop Trail is a great place to birdwatch and enjoy nature. The trail leads to the Historical District, where you can shop or admire the architecture. The total length of the trail is about 8.

Starting at the Driftwood Beach parking area, we hiked the trail north to Clam Creek Park, and then turned right and walked back to the starting point along the beach, 3 miles total. Great for birders! Nice scenery. It's a fine way to start the day, and then go lie out on the beach in the afternoon!
