Confirmed from Nat Greene Trail, Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular paved trail offering lake views and a bridge decorated with love locks.
What runners say about Nat Greene Trail, Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway
“It is well maintained with constant sawing and removal of fallen trees across the trail as evident of the amount of sawdust I saw today.”
“This was a good 3 Miles walk today ☺️ I am a Greenway junkie 🤪 I love nature and the scenic views of Gods creation so I try bouncing around and finding new locations to walk.”
“The trail is mostly shaded, has a LOT of roots, a deceiving amount of up and down, a few bridges, and several side trails that let you get close to Lake Brandt.”

These trails are very well kept up. The bridge with the locks on it gives romantic walk vibes. I walked a little loop, I'd suggest naming it a little longer little loop, but it was beautiful regardless. The area feels safe to walk or bike alone as a female.
Nat Greene, Atlantic Yadkin are wonderful trails in Greensboro. One of the many great reasons to live and love Greensboro.
The Nat Greene Trail is 3.6 miles in length and part of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail. I typically park at the Lake Brandt Marina lot off Lake Brandt Road as the trailhead is there. The trail intersects the Wild Turkey Mountain Bike Trail at three spots and also the Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway near Bur-Mil Park.
