Comprehensive review: Nescopeck at first seems like a small park, but it's misleading. In the Day Use Area there is a visitor center and office, an environmental educational center, a nature center and butterfly garden, a picnic grove and Lake Francis, all in a relatively compact area.
Lake loop is great. It has lots of little nooks that allow you to get right to the lake. There are lots of other trails that take you into the forest. Try the creek and fern trail. Lots to see and explore! Plenty of parking. Trails are maintained!
Such an amazing place. Nice and quiet, friendly people, and always a great view to state at while you're by Lake Frances! Lots of trails to try out and none are too difficult. Great for beginners and experienced alike!
Very well maintained, with both gravel marked trails and clear shots into the wooded area. Dog friendly. Very open. Lots of play areas for kids. All in all an asset to Pennsylvania's state park program.
