Confirmed from Newport News Paved Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature-filled area featuring hiking and biking trails, playgrounds and picnic spots.

“Easy walk but could be a small challenge for first timers!”
It's a peaceful and easy hike. Mostly flat terrain. Nice shady trees and scenic water views.
I didn't know what to expect coming to the park as a transplant but what an experience! The trailhead has enough to see and do to make a great experience. A doe and her three fawns flirted with everyone on the trailhead.
Second time back walking the trails I didn't realize how big this park was.!!!! Easy walk but could be a small challenge for first timers!!!
Walking/hiking/jogging in nature is a great way to relieve stress. It is perfect for families or by yourself.. the trails are well marked, scenic and easy to transverse. These are one of Newport News best kept secret
