This place is seriously amazing. I love walking the white oak trail with friends, seeing all the critters that live in the area. And the fact the discovery center takes in injured animals is a life saver. I've come across injured songbirds and knowing they are in good hands helps so much.
Great place to experience a variety of family & indivual satisfactions. Personally I utilize the golf facilities the most. Otherwise it may be the most underrated/unknown city facility, especially to new inhabitants out there.
A big beautiful park with boating, camping, hiking. The park offers programs on animals in their natural habitats. May picnic area's also💛
We stopped here late in the afternoon during the Holidays. The staff member was warm and welcoming. Even though he was closing up for the evening, he took time to show us grubs living in the acorns he was cracking for the baby squirrels they rescue. He kindly showed us around the center and taught us a lot.
