03/16/2022 We came for a sunset hike today. We parked at 520 Newton Lake Drive and then hiked along roadside walkways/trails by Newton Lake Drive southeastward towards Lakeview Drive, crossed two roads till we saw McDonald’s, then we walked along the trail on the other side of the lake.
I love the winding path around the small lakes. The smell of lake water and flowers mixed with evening air is an intoxicating aromatic cocktail. Alsolutely gorgeous views and very cool little benches out on the water.
I love this place. Nothing out of the ordinary. I run here daily so I like the place! During winter the lake often freezes, giving it an ethereal look. During fall and spring, one can take beautiful pictures of the lake with reflection of fall/spring foliage on the stagnant lake water.
Beautiful nature and scenery plus a gorgeous lake. Nice long walking path and you can fish in the lake at any time. If you love being surrounded by nature, this park is the best.
