Confirmed from Nick's Creek Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Trail for hiking, biking, family outings and more.

Nice walking, running, and biking trail that is very quiet and peaceful. Much less congestion than some of the other parts of the Southern Pines greenway. The path is packed gravel and sand but is flat and well maintained. The trails are well marked, only thing that is missing is mile markers!
there is an interactive story trail adventure with winnie the pooh cutouts and a QR code you can scan to listen to a story. this trail is not crowded, and is a dog-friendly trail.
This is a wonderful place to walk. There are nice wide open paths. It's not usually crowded. Be careful about pulling into and out of the entrance there are a number of aggressive drivers that live nearby.
Great place for exercise if you don't want to be surrounded by a lot of people. Trail is maintained. Only downfall that I dislike is there are no restroom facilities.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceCrushed gravel — the rail-trail classic: softer than asphalt, still smooth enough for tempo work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
