Confirmed from North Fork Preserve County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about North Fork Preserve County Park
Super annoyed today. I have hiked many times with my dog in the north fork preserve, but today I was told by the groundskeeper that hikers aren't allowed in. Only hunters. It says on the county parks site this isn't the case "SHARE THE WOODS: Hikers are permitted in these areas throughout the archery season.
This is a new County Park underdevelopment. It was previously a private hunting and fishing club established in 1984. The bulk of the property, two parcels totaling 314 acres, were purchased by the county in 2011 for $18.3 million.
Nice place for a hike or bike ride. Pretty dense vegetation, not a lot to see. Trails had been mowed but there were branches blocking the path. No signs or trail markers or map. Saw one other person (birder) while there. Quiet, peaceful.
