Confirmed from Hallock State Park Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Secluded state park with a beach and marked hiking trails often used for walks.

Hallock State Park Preserve was a nice hike. Normally there is an $8 parking fee but it is waived during the winter season. There are two parking lots - one at the entrance where the payment kiosk is and one at the trailheads.
This place is a tucked away gem. The gift shop is about 2 years old but a bit wanting for stuff. We went to the parking lot way in the back. There are solar powered parking machines. There is a very hilly trail to the beach. Nobody on the beach or trail. We saw deer tracks but no deer.
This State Park Reserve is a true gem. I loved walking around its serene, unspoiled nature and the beautiful pristine beach ... that I and my friends reached easily on a well marked trail. I definitely recommend a visit. The visitors center is also pleasant with useful info and a gift shop.
Great spot to stop and stretch your legs and enjoy the North Fork scenery. They have really nice hiking trails that run along Long Island sound and a beautiful beach with great views. They also have bathroom facilities that are always kept immaculately clean.
