Confirmed from North Lakeshore Greenbelt Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

After a stop by for some dinner, I decided to relax for a while and walk, and overall this was a very good experience! The beauty of this lake was amazing and so was the playground too. If you are looking for a good break to stop by then this is for you.

The Greenbelt consist of 18 miles all away around. Many trailheads have restrooms and a place to charge your bike. Beautiful nature and streams and ponds.

The park was a lot nicer than I expected. The lake was beautiful, the playground was pretty much brand new, and the boat launch was conveniently located. A lot of people were enjoying watersports on the lake. I didn't think it would be big enough, but it definitely was.

Lake carroll is a great place to get fresh air and relax, the recent construction is complete and looks great! It provides a playground for children, plenty of sitting areas, pavilions, beautiful scenery and great exercise trail. Also provides clean ladies and gentlemen facilities.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
