Confirmed from North Riverside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxed riverside venue featuring paved trails, dirt paths and a boat ramp.
What runners say about North Riverside Park
“Nice trails both paved for bikes and some unpaved, restrooms available, scenic along the river and removed from major roads.”
We loved walking here. We did a lap around the athletic field and walked the paved path north for a bit before turning back to the car. We will be back on a prettier day.
Park is well taken care of. There is a very long trail, about 3 miles with a dog park along the way. Highly recommend all year round. If you like the Oregon rain, this park looks beautiful when it's drizzling. I've gone fishing along the Willamette a few times, and it's a great spot if you're looking for bass.
Great park to walk the dog. Much more versatile and accessible to walk since the trail was finished. 1 mile to downtown Independence.
Pleasant place to walk with a concrete path and dirt path. If you walk down the trail you will end up in downtown independence, where you have many options to shop and dine in. The trail was fairly short and well maintained with little obstacle stations spread throughout.
Trail conditions & character
“Very decent, both main and side trails, only gripe is that the last bit of the main trail needs to be finished with concrete to match the previous 2/3 of it.”
