Confirmed from Novick Southington Open Space's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular hiking area with well-marked trails offering varying views, including at sunset.
What runners say about Novick Southington Open Space
“Beautiful place to watch the sunset”
Nice place to hike and get away quick. Easy trails . Perfect for families .I enjoy the view from the parking lot as well.dogs must be on a leash .signs says no cannabis smoking so I smoke as much as possible .
Nearly 2 mile hike if use all three trails. Good view to the west at start and of ridge to the east on return. Open fields, dense brush and woods. Good footing, wide open easy to moderate trails. Two short steep climbs. Brook on blue main trail not always passable.
Crescent Lake is a Great variety of hikes and views. You can do around lake, up in the hills. Marked trails
It was fine for a short walk. There was not too much to look at, and there was a lot of dog waste all over the trails.
