Confirmed from Ragged Mountain Memorial Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This forested, rugged natural area for day use offers opportunities for climbing & hiking.
What runners say about Ragged Mountain Memorial Preserve
“Beautiful views and love that it's a loop trail that you can customize to make a little shorter / longer if you'd like.”
“Well marked moderately trafficked 5.”
Great hiking trail. You’ll get beautiful view for the top. We took 5.6 mile loop trail, started with blue-red trail and connected to Metacomet trail and again joined back to blue-red trail while coming down. It’s long trail but it’s fun.
I love this trail! Come here multiple times a week. On weekends it can get packed, there is no official parking lot but people park along side the road & infront if entrance. Even if it's packed, you might run into 3-5 people. Park is very large with alot of side trails.
Please pack out what you pack in. Beautiful trails and scenic views. Huge cliffs overlooking the reservoir.
Awesome place to go hiking!! The views are gorgeous, even in the winter time. The trail Is definitely rocky, so wear good hiking boots. There are lots of different trails to take, so you can end up spending lots of time here depending on what ones you go on.
