Confirmed from Oak Hill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is a beautiful little trail. About 1.75 miles long, it has markings on the trail, and shortcuts if you need them. Rolling hills, gorgeous dips and views inside Wayne County. The trail passes through a lovely meadow full of flowers, plants, creepy crawlies, and singing wildlife. Just what you are looking for.

Great trail. Paved and assessable. Easy to find, lots of parking, a covered picnic area and bathrooms. The trail is 1 1/2 miles and what I would call easy but it does have a big hill at the end and no shade. So go before the hottest part of the day. Recommend to any level hiker.

Nice place to walk and running. The loop track is almost 2 miles with down hill and uphill areas, so good for athletes. I am sure this park will turn into a major attraction in Wooster few years time. Trees are still smaller and area is open. Pavilion has electricity for barbecue and yes !! restrooms as well.

Awesome place for a walk that lasts about a half hour. You have the feel of being in the country, but your really not. The path is really nice and paved. Also perfect for walking the dog.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
