Ona Beach is a great place to walk and explore part of the Oregon coast. This stretch allows you to walk south to Seal Rock or north to Lost Creek. The weather today was awesome at around 73°. Way better than the 95° in Salem. We enjoyed taking our furry friend along for the beautiful walk on the beach today!
About 10 min south of South Beach State Park. Large parking area with restrooms and ample picnic tables all about the park. The beach is a leisurely 5 min walk via a paved path. Beach is like any other OR one but you will be mostly isolated from others on weekdays.
You will find a nice beach to walk on and hunt for agates with a large picnic area. A trail through the woods takes you across a bridge over the estuary of Beaver Creek to the beach. Ona Beach is one part of Brian Booth State Park and the second part is the Beaver Creek Natural Area.
Wonderful picturesque paddle from Beaver Creek estuary 3 miles along Beaver Creek under 3 bridges and into the bay and to the Pacific Ocean at Ona Beach State Park! We took ~30 young men and adults in August - great time and unique experience. Highly recommend!
