Great boardwalk stroll! Flat and stable boardwalk with plenty of places to sit. 509 pieces of walkway. Fantastic views of the open space that you normally can't see without getting your feet wet. Great volunteer at the beginning who gave good info. Remember to leave a donation.
Stopped here on our way from western Maine to Bar Harbor and I’m so glad we did. It was raining heavily when we arrived, but I was determined to visit due to how highly rated this place was. I’m so glad we did, this place is so cool.
For someone that is not super familiar with bogs this place was over super cool. The city has constructed basically floating panels of compositor decking over the bog. It’s mostly stationary but some steps you’ll get a little more give than others.
Exceeded our expectations! What a cool place. Like nothing we've ever seen. Great walk to throw in your Bangor/Orono itinerary. Was a little busy on a holiday weekend Saturday but still felt peaceful and enjoyable (as nature should be). Really cool plants that we havent seen before. Truly a unique place.
