Confirmed from Oxford Run Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park suitable for children and dogs featuring a walking trail.
What runners say about Oxford Run Trail
“Looks like part of the old canal system that were all over Virginia at one time, nice peaceful walk.”
Not a bad trail, but pretty short. You walk through the woods next to a man made stream / ditch, around a pond at the other end, then back the same way you came. Probably between 1.5 and 2 miles round trip.
Short 1.5 mile walk. Was a little muddy in some places after we had some rain. Nothing special but offered a nice, quick dog walk on a busy Saturday.
This is a beautifully maintained nature trail along a storm ditch. But it's not some dirty, nasty ditch. The ditch is clean and you can see small fish, frogs, and turtles. There are also some exercise equipment and seating along the trail. The length of the trail is just over 1-mile.
Short trail but very peaceful. There is a bmx type trail on other side of creek. I have not been on it yet though.
