Confirmed from Paul D Rushing Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Green space with a nature trail & a wetlands habitat, plus sports fields, a tree farm & a dog park.
What runners say about Paul D Rushing Park
“The park is clean and well kept.”
“Won't be much useful in the hot summer months as the park has very little shaded areas.”
“Beautiful, peaceful park with plenty of psace to walk, bike, fish, and play.”
Amazing park! I love the fact that I can walk on the water as there are many bridges and the water areas. It’s really nice for a walk and spend a quality time in nature! I believe I saw a few baby alligators 🐊 and wish to see adult ones someday. It’s nice for skateboarding or longboard as well.
Pretty nice park for a dog walk or try to catch some bird photos. Won't be much useful in the hot summer months as the park has very little shaded areas. It is not too far from Houston and probably not known much except the locals. Those were taken early morning in Aug, by 8AM it was already too hot.
Huge park with nearly unlimited parking, cricket fiels, softball fields, 2 dog parks, jungle gym for the kids, nice clean restrooms, fishing, bird watching, and about 5 miles or more of hiking if you do all of the loops.
Best park I've been too. There is 5 playgrounds close together, a fishing area, softball fields, a huge walking trail, picnic tables, pavillions with grills and dog parks. Very convenient for all the family. Only thing I wish it had was a water splash pad for kids but besides that my family and I visit all the time.

“There is a big loop asphalt trail with wood bridges, piers, and observation decks.”
“On the far end of the loop is a fence that separates the park from a field, which is great because my toddler loves to look at grazing cows.”
