Confirmed from Pawcatuck River Wildlife Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Pawcatuck River Wildlife Area
“A small peaceful park on the edge of the Pawcatuck River.”
A small peaceful park on the edge of the Pawcatuck River. Has a small inlet splitting the park in two sections. The right side has quite a bit of poison ivy, so be careful. Good for a short walk or jog. If you do the entire perimeter, it is about 1 mile.
Love walking around and talking pictures here. It's not very big so it's a short walk to the river. Some really nice views of the river. Not to mention, there is a Bald Eagles nest nearby, so if you are lucky, you might be able to see them.
Good place to walk. Not great for fishing during the day on the weekend with all the boat traffic.
I find this place just too good to pass up a walk in the afternoon. Ive come here since i was a kid i always remember its name being the Brink who knows what theyve named in now. Pawcatuck river wildlife area does not feel like tradition but it does fit the geo political Brink aspects.
