Confirmed from Peaceful Waters Sanctuary's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“The trails are beautiful and well-maintained as is the boardwalk, and so much wildlife to see—birds, turtles, reptiles and even a few apple snails along the way.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

🌾 quiet & peaceful 12 mentions

“Took away a star as it is not as quiet as other reserves, being next to the new aquatic center (I visited on a Sunday where lots of screaming kids are in the pool).”

I went to Peaceful Waters for one hour walk in the morning and it was amazing; there were many birds, dragonflies, butterflies, and reptiles. The park opens at 7 am and there are many activities you can do there. There were a lot of soccer fields.

I enjoyed spending about two hours there photographing nature and wildlife. There're many birds, ducks, butterflies and a green iguana. You can walk on boardwalk or path to get up close.

An absolute gem! You have a few choices on your walk. You can stay on the boardwalk, or you can exit the boardwalk and walk in the grass. Everything is maintained at a first class level. The boardwalk is very smooth. You could easily push a stroller on it.

We found this beautiful nature center by chance: we were looking for soccer fields open to the public and found them at the Village Park Athletics Complex in Wellington, where we then discovered this small hidden gem in it!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
