What a great discovery. A plethora of trails to explore. Very dog friendly. So glad we went and will return. From OSU: "Peavy Arboretum has served as an outdoor teaching lab for generations of children and adults, and is a welcoming place for visitors interested in a picnic by the pond or a long hike in the moutains.
Great place for a quick hike with good variety. Trails range from easy to moderate and have something for everyone. Off leash dog friendly too. Highly recommend for casual nature walker to intermediate hiker, depending on trails taken.
Always a joy to explore this area. It is a popular meander area with some slightly steeper inclined loops you can mix in. Wildflowers are blooming and it's a pleasant place for a decent little workout.
This park had so many trails for all levels I had a hard time deciding which way I wanted to go so I went a little ways on multiple trail. There were informational pieces about the land throughout the hiking trails. I went very early and I was nearly by myself, as the morning wore on there was an abundance of people.
