Confirmed from Perkins Avenue Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a playground and swings, plus picnic tables and a basketball court.
What runners say about Perkins Avenue Park
I almost gave it four stars, but then I thought about some of the other parks in the area and felt like five stars was more fair compared to the other parks nearby. It has a little sprinkler splash pad and a giant open field.
We love this playground. The grand kids had a ball. They had plenty of room to run around and plenty of things to play on.
Trail conditions & character
“Very nice playground with lots of play area, splash pad for cooling off in summer and a basketball court to shoot some hoops, there's a porta potty if you or your kids need to go.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
