Confirmed from University of Maine Bike Path's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about University of Maine Bike Path
“The biggest perk, aside from it being close to the University, is that the path is well maintained throughout the year; Especially in the winter.”
Miles of paved path. Perfect for tricking the kids into spending all of their energy. Muahahhaha.
An excellent, paved bike path with intersecting University of Maine unpaved trails which are clearly marked with maps and distances. If you go in the evening, you WILL see deer. I've also seen woodchucks and a porcupine which the university girls used to pat on the head when he was young!
This is a great bike path that cuts through the university forest from Park St across from The Reserve to Perkins and Stillwater Avenues in Old town. There is also a dirt road that leads to Bangor Savings with Hannaford plaza less than 300 yards across a field.
Well maintained all things considered, great that its ploughed in winter. Mind the speedbumps. Only thing left to make it perfect would be a paved connection to the Hannaford plaza.
